Dive with us in Mozambique

OFFSHORE AFRICA IS EXPANDING!

Offshore Africa Mozambique is excited to offer you spectacular coral reef and wall diving in Nacala, Nampula province. Yes, we are expanding our operations and destinations.

Where we are and what we are doing

Aside from our incredible sardine run season, our local business and our permanent home base in Port St Johns, Offshore Africa has spent a considerable amount of time to find a 2nd destination to complement our existing business, a great scuba diving destination, a destination that is not out of Africa and is off the beaten trail, we believe that we have found it!

A destination that can offer great warm water coral diving with superb visibility, a destination that is off the beaten track, an undiscovered destination that allows you to dive with no other dive boat in sight, a place to relax with your toes in the sand and not have to travel far. A destination that allows you just a few steps from your accommodation and you will have your feet in the warm Indian ocean and on the beach. A destination where you can simply walk into the ocean daily and snorkel, swim or dive the marine protected house reef which sits about 200m from the dining and bar area.

165 km South of Pemba and 70 km north of Isla de Mozambique, situated amongst baobab trees, coastal forest and right on the beach! You could not get closer to the ocean and the beach unless you are actually a crab on the beach!!!

We are super excited to be involved in the ongoing development of Ossimba Beach Lodge, a warm home away from home lodge but with more than a few extra benefits.

We have a great diversity of dive sites to suit all dive qualifications and they are guaranteed to be a macro and wide-angle photographers’ delight. But we have so much pioneering to do with the diving, we have just touched the very tip of it all.

The spectacular sunrises and sunsets are not to be missed as each day offers a new image to capture.

ABOUT THE DIVING

We spent many, many weeks pioneering some of the dive sites and some dive sites already given to us, at times doing 4 dives in a day. Each site is as diverse as the next, some totally focusing on spectacular corals and teeming with tropical fish life, others waiting for the big stuff to put in an appearance.Others immersing oneself in history with a few wreck dives and others dropping off the face of the earth on spectacular wall dives. On most of our dives we encountered at least 30m visibility with an average water temperature between 28°C – 30°C.
