Safari options

Offshore Africa is proud to announce that we are now able to offer you a variety of amazing safari options within central Southern Africa.
These can be as an add-on to your sardine run package with us or as a stand-alone trip.
Highlights are :
GREAT, GREAT MIGRATION TRIP
The sardine wildlife ‘migration’ is actually still relatively mysterious, although there are, of course, theories.
This is an event for everyone to enjoy – be it bird watchers, marine-life enthusiasts, experienced divers, snorkellers or simply joining as a passenger on the boat.
Experience the Sardine Run beneath the waves or above. Either way it has been described as one of the greatest marine spectacles on earth.
The great Serengeti wildebeest migration is the movement of vast numbers of the Serengeti’s wildebeest, accompanied by large numbers of zebra, and smaller numbers of Grant’s gazelle, Thomson’s gazelle, eland and impala. These move in an annual pattern which is fairly predictable. They migrate throughout the year, constantly seeking fresh grazing and, it’s now thought, better quality water.
The GREAT GREAT Migration, – come and experience both ocean and land migrations.
UGANDA GORILLA TREKKING
The 6 Days Uganda Gorilla and Chimpanzee Safari takes you to Kibale National Park and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The prime safari activities include the gorilla tracking and chimpanzee trekking.
Encountering the critically endangered Mountain Gorillas in their natural habitats and the chimpanzees, our closest relatives is very rewarding.
The heritage tours to the Amabere caves and the adventurous hike to the Fort Portal Crater lake field not forgetting Eco tours in Bigodi wetland sanctuary combine to generate ultimate Africa safari memories.
KWAZULU-NATAL BIG 5 SAFARI
Bayala Private Safari Lodge and Camp is a welcoming and affordable safari lodge situated in a ‘Big 5’ game reserve just 3 hours north of Durban, South Africa, in the ancient kingdom of Zululand.
Vast and enchanting, the Bayala wilderness forms part of and traverses a 12 000 ha area of a 30 000 ha private safari and conservation heartland providing outstanding wildlife safaris in South Africa where all of Africa’s wildlife greats roam free.
Twice-daily safaris bring spectacular sightings of lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo and rhino in their natural world, along with cheetah, zebra, giraffe and a remarkable variety of other wildlife.
Family-friendly and open-hearted, Bayala welcomes guests to two independently run lodges, each with 24 rooms offering all the essential comforts.
At Bayala life is lived with homespun finesse, and the lodges provide chic lounges and bars, dining areas both indoors and out under star-sprinkled skies, and a pool deck that keeps close company with the wilderness.
Rehabilitation of wilderness and restoration of wildlife are Bayala’s highest priorities.
Guests have a privileged window into conservation-in-action, and are offered the opportunity to participate hands-on activities such as the de-horning of rhino.
